Project Progress

Transparent development logs mapping our journey from idea to App Store.

Phase 4: Advanced Features August 10, 2026

Strava API, Push Notifications & SwiftUI Charts

Integrated Strava API for automatic ride synchronization. Configured local iOS push notifications (`UNUserNotificationCenter`) firing alerts when component wear exceeds 90%. Built a dedicated Analytics tab using SwiftUI `Charts` for weekly mileage trends and component health diagnostics.

Phase 3: Backend & Forms August 10, 2026

Firebase Auth & Cloud Firestore Sync

Integrated Firebase SDK (`FirebaseAuth`, `FirebaseFirestore`). Configured automatic anonymous sign-in and real-time Cloud Firestore synchronization under `users/{userId}`. Created interactive modal sheets (`AddBikeSheet`, `AddComponentSheet`) for adding/editing bikes and components with smart lifespan presets.

Phase 2: MVP Iteration August 10, 2026

UI/UX Polish & Web Tracking

Created the official VeloMetric logo and established the brand's premium dark-mode aesthetic. Updated the landing page with realistic CSS-based iPhone mockups showing the actual app UI structure (Dashboard and Garage). Implemented this very progress tracker to log daily advancements transparently.

Phase 1: Foundation August 10, 2026

Installable iOS Project Setup

Scaffolded the base Xcode project (`VeloMetric.xcodeproj`) targeted for iOS 16+. Refactored the architecture to use a shared `ViewModel` via `@EnvironmentObject` across a new `TabView` containing the Dashboard and Garage views. Stripped out external dependencies to ensure an instant (~5s) first build experience.

Phase 0: Ideation

Project Conception

Initial idea generation for a premium bike component tracker. Selected SwiftUI for native iOS feel and Firebase for backend synchronization.
